Stendr

Its core proposition responds to a gap in legacy air defence systems. Individual sensors each speak their own language, leaving operators to piece together a threat picture manually while drones close in faster than a human can react. Stendr's software fuses that sensor data automatically. The aim is a real-time, unified read on incoming drone threats that cuts the time needed to detect, track and respond to swarms.

Larsen previously co-founded Sky Mavis, the studio behind the game Axie Infinity, and led the company through a $600 million state-sponsored cyberattack before rebuilding trust and scaling the business past $1 billion in revenue. Pedersen, the CTO, spent more than 15 years in full-stack and hardware engineering, including work with Norway's Brønnøysund Register Centre and Norges Bank. Hansen, who leads hardware, previously co-founded Gungnir, a Norwegian hardware company.

In April 2026, Stendr raised $5.4 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round co-led by Rainfall Ventures, ACME and Skyfall, with participation from Sisyphus, Antler, StartupLab, Off Piste and Andöya Ventures. Stendr describes the round as one of the largest pre-seed raises in Nordic defence tech history. The company says it will use the funding to build out its hardware and software stack, with the stated goal of strengthening Europe's technological and strategic independence in defence.
