Avilus builds three distinct platforms covering medical evacuation, multi-role tactical airlift and long-range ISR: the Grille, Wespe and Bussard. All three are designed for both military and civilian operators and can be acquired outright or contracted as a Drone-as-a-Service. The company also runs its own flight operations from airbases in Erding and Manching, and maintains a business development office in Vincentia, Australia.

In late 2025 Avilus expanded its sensor capabilities through a strategic partnership with HENSOLDT, integrating the PrecISR radar, an electro-optical multispectral system and the AMPS-M onto its platforms via HENSOLDT's MissMarvin mission operating system. In April 2026 South Korean defence aviation specialist UI Helicopter joined forces with Avilus to accelerate development of multi-purpose drones and autonomous MEDEVAC systems. Avilus is also a participant in iMEDCAP, a European Defence Fund-backed project to develop autonomous systems for detecting and evacuating casualties from inaccessible areas.
