Products & Solutions

ALMP Loitering Munitions (MAUS, Ratte, Stryga)
The Adaptive Loitering Munition Platform (ALMP) is Donaustahl's family of loitering munitions designed for one-way strike missions. The architecture supports tool-free, click-based payload swaps in the field, allowing rapid reconfiguration between fragmentation, anti-armour and anti-structure warheads. Variants include the compact MAUS, the heavier Ratte and the Stryga. All platforms can be optionally equipped with fibre-optic guidance to operate in heavily jammed environments.
Combat Stack
The Combat Stack is an integrated Flight Controller and Electronic Speed Controller (FC/ESC) developed for automated, soldering-free production. It eliminates the manual assembly bottleneck common in FPV drone manufacturing and is designed to scale to 20,000 units per month from 2026. The Combat Stack is intended as the sovereign European avionics standard for FPV and loitering munition systems, with no critical US or Chinese components.
Warhead Range (Sonyashnyk Series, HEAT-2000, HEDEV-5000)
Donaustahl's warhead portfolio covers the main effect categories required for drone strike missions. The Sonyashnyk Series includes the HEFRAG-1100 and HEFRAG-2000 fragmentation warheads (the latter described as a Shahed-killer). The HEAT-2000 is a shaped-charge anti-armour warhead and the HEDEV-5000 class covers anti-structure effects. All are optimised for UAV integration and manufactured for cost-efficient mass production.
UAV-Mounted Weapons (mBK185, GAG40)
For platforms requiring reusable firepower, Donaustahl offers the mBK185 micro cannon and the GAG40 40mm grenade launcher for UAV integration. These are designed for drones that need to engage targets repeatedly rather than in a one-way strike role.
Training and Tactics
Donaustahl offers drone system courses and tactical instruction delivered by soldiers with experience from active conflict zones. The training covers system operation and the tactics required to integrate loitering munitions and FPV drones into unit-level combat. The curriculum draws directly on combat-proven feedback fed back into both training content and product iteration.

About

Donaustahl GmbH is a Bavarian defence startup founded in 2020 by Stefan Thumann in Hutthurm, near Passau. The company builds loitering munitions, drone avionics and UAV warheads, positioning itself as an "Offense-Tech" company that combines German precision engineering with the speed of a startup. Its tagline, "Machen. Nicht reden." (Do. Don't talk.), reflects a deliberate rejection of the pace and complexity of traditional arms procurement.
