NOMAD Series
A family of deployable mobile microfactories housed in ISO/CSC-certified shipping containers. Each unit is self-contained with climate control, vibration-damped printer bases and integrated quality assurance tooling, making it transportable by air, sea or land. The series supports multiple 3D printing processes including laser powder bed fusion, direct energy deposition, VAT polymerization and material extrusion, covering metal, polymer and composite materials.
NOMAD-03
A specialised variant of the NOMAD platform focused on laser powder bed fusion of aluminium parts. Developed in collaboration with powder supplier Equispheres, the NOMAD-03 uses non-explosive NExP-1 aluminium powder certified under ASTM E1226, enabling safe transport and field operation. It supports adjustable processing parameters for fast build rates and was in final verification testing as of April 2025, with commercial availability expected mid-2025.
Digital Inventory Platform
A secure digital platform that connects IP holders, manufacturers, procurement teams and supply chain operators. Parts are stored as validated print files rather than physical stock, and can be produced on demand at the nearest NOMAD microfactory. The platform reduces reliance on long supply chains and eliminates the need to hold physical inventories of low-turnover spare parts.

About

Fieldmade was founded in 2016 by Christian Duun Norberg, spinning out of FFI (the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment) in Kjeller. The company builds mobile microfactories and digital inventory systems that let armed forces, oil and gas operators and shipbuilders produce spare parts on demand, wherever they are operating.
