Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and validation of mechanical systems for our micro-tubular SOFC technology. You will take responsibility for ensuring that our designs are reliable, manufacturable, and scalable as we move from prototypes to commercial systems.

As a senior member of the team, you will act as design authority, mentor colleagues, and ensure that mechanical engineering contributes effectively to our overall technology roadmap.

Your tasks: Develop the mechanical architecture and design of stack components, fixtures, and test hardware. Guide analysis and validation activities using simulations and experimental testing. Define and improve processes for assembly, prototyping, and iterative testing. Oversee documentation of designs, specifications, and best practices. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure mechanical, thermal, and system integration. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Your qualifications: Vocational School, BSc or MSc in Engineering, Materials Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis. Proficiency in 3D modeling software and simulation tools. Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience with prototyping.
