Job Description

The role ensures technical compliance, quality, adherence to schedules, and operational safety across all plant operations. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams and will act as a key interface between design engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations (testing and launch).

Tasks & missions

Industrialization & Manufacturing Engineering

  • Develop and maintain industrial documentation for the launch vehicle and its subsystems

  • Define, optimize, and formalize assembly sequences and work instructions

  • Define, procure, and qualify the tooling and jigs required for assembly and integration

  • Provide Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) expertise to the design office

  • Contribute to Make-or-Buy strategy decisions

M-AIT Operational Leadership

  • Plan and schedule all M-AIT activities to meet subsystem and launch vehicle delivery milestones

  • Oversee internal and external production flows

  • Ensure strict compliance with industrial documentation and procedures

  • Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all operations

Integration & Testing

  • Lead multi-system integration activities (structures, propulsion, avionics, fluids)

  • Implement and execute unit and functional test strategies (functional, dimensional, etc.)

  • Analyze test results, manage non-conformities, and drive corrective action plans

  • Validate acceptance reports prior to transfer to test or launch sites

Preferred experience & skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and integration processes in a space environment

  • Solid fundamentals in mechanics, propulsion, fluids, and/or avionics

  • Practical knowledge of launch vehicle systems is highly desirable

Professional Skills

  • Proven leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to make decisions under tight schedule constraints

Education & Experience

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in M-AIT activities, ideally in launch vehicles or satellites; alternatively, experience in industries involving advanced prototyping and high-performance systems (e.g., motorsport) will be considered

  • Demonstrated experience in team management and coordination of multiple projects

  • Professional proficiency in English required

  • Master's degree in Engineering (or equivalent) in mechanical, aerospace, space engineering, or a related field
