Job Description

Your mission

Join our Munich team as the technical throughline for our equipment portfolio, focusing primarily on space valves (cryogenic, high-pressure, solenoid, and motorized). You will own the requirement and qualification thread from customer briefing to flight hardware:

  • Requirements-Based Engineering: Lead technical exchanges with launch vehicle and satellite customers to translate mission constraints into actionable equipment specifications.

  • Cross-Functional Anchor: Work daily at the core of Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and QA to align technical baselines, resolve trade-offs, and maintain a tidy technical baseline.

  • Own Product Assurance (PA) Documentation: Author and own the majority of development PA deliverables. including FMECA, hazard analyses, compliance matrices, verification control documents (VCDs), and qualification data packages.

  • System & Component Performance Sizing: Establish operational boundaries and performance budgets across fluid, thermal, and mechanical domains (e.g., flow capacities, pressure drops, actuation dynamics, thermal margins) to provide solid engineering baselines for the design team.

  • Drive Product V&V: Define the qualification logic, test procedures, and pass/fail criteria to ensure every customer requirement is rigorously validated.

  • Hands-on Lab Verification: Support functional checkouts, pressure tests, and cryogenic qualification campaigns on the bench alongside test and assembly crews.

  • Pragmatic Automation: Use Python and modern AI tools to streamline data processing, automate traceability, and cut repetitive engineering documentation.

Your profile

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 1–2 years of practical experience in systems engineering, fluid systems, or hardware qualification (aerospace or regulated industry preferred).

  • Proven hands-on hardware background: Direct experience assembling, troubleshooting, or testing physical fluid hardware and test setups.

  • Solid grasp of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and pressurized equipment.

  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills for customer meetings and internal cross-team alignment (Design, Test, QA).

  • Working knowledge of Python or scripting; proactive in using modern AI tools critically to multiply engineering output without compromising technical rigor.

  • Practical experience with modern requirements management tools and frameworks (e.g., Flow, Polarion, Jama, or similar digital engineering suites).

  • Fluency in English (German is a plus).

We offer

  • Immediate and flexible start

  • Permanent full-time position (40 h/week)

  • Attractive salary package

  • Start your “Side Quest”: We support passion projects – whether it’s building new tools, test stands, or prototypes outside your main scope.

  • Shape our growth: As a fast-scaling company, we offer the opportunity to actively build structures and define our future path.

  • 30 days annual vacation and flexible working hours

  • Bike leasing, EGYM Wellpass and subsidy for the Deutschlandticket

  • Complimentary beverages, company events, and professional development opportunities
