Main responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to take part in the development, verification, and documentation of airborne systems and other platforms at one of our top clients in Germany.
Responsibilites:

Collaborate with customers to define, derive, and validate software requirements, ensuring alignment with operational and system needs.

Manage requirements traceability throughout the software development lifecycle, maintaining accurate technical baselines and configuration control.

Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks in collaboration with engineering teams to support successful project delivery.

Coordinate the planning and execution of technical activities, working closely with project management to monitor progress and key milestones.

Review and approve technical documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, certification requirements, and customer expectations.

Lead software qualification and certification activities, interfacing with customers and regulatory authorities as required.

Provide regular project and technical status updates to senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making and effective governance.
Required qualifications and experience:

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

Proven experience delivering software-intensive avionics, aerospace, or mission-critical systems through the full development lifecycle.

Strong expertise in embedded software development and certification processes, including standards such as DO-178C and ARP4754B.

Demonstrated ability to cultivate trusted relationships with civil or military aviation authorities, including active participation in formal panel meetings or Stages of Involvement (SOI)

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable information for diverse audiences.

Knowledge of AI or machine learning applications within safety-critical or highly regulated environments is a plus.

Fluent English, German is a plus
