Job Description
A full-time position as an Airworthiness Specialist (m/f/d) is available in the Type Certification Control Center as of January 1, 2027.
Your tasks:

Planning, managing, and coordinating certification and documentation activities as part of type certification in coordination with the respective project managers

Developing and maintaining documentation programs based on the relevant certification regulations, in particular CS-23, CS-25, CS-27, and CS-29, as well as comparable FAR/JAR regulations and equipment manufacturing regulations

Technical interpretation and application of airworthiness requirements and construction regulations
-
Review and evaluation of technical documentation for compliance with applicable airworthiness requirements
-
Participation in the development and coordination of test and evaluation programs for documentation purposes
-
Planning, coordination, and management of flight tests as part of certification projects
-
Coordination of certification activities with internal departments and project teams
-
Collaboration and support in the management of the EASA Part-21J Design Organization
Your profile:
-
A completed engineering degree with a focus on aerospace, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, many years of experience as a technician or in a comparable role

Several years of professional experience in airworthiness/aircraft certification, certification processes, or technical justification
-
Strong technical expertise in one of the following areas: electrical systems, avionics, or aircraft structure

Experience in the technical interpretation and implementation of certification regulations

Experience in aviation (including a pilot’s license, involvement in an aviation sports club, or similar) is desirable

In-depth knowledge of relevant airworthiness requirements and certification regulations, particularly CS-23/25/27/29, is an advantage

Excellent written and spoken German and English skills

A dedicated individual with the ability and interest to clearly communicate complex legal regulations and requirements
-
High level of self-motivation and self-organization, as well as strong communication skills
-
Attention to detail, well-organized, team-oriented, and a hands-on approach
In the interest of pay transparency, we are providing the salary range for this position in advance: It ranges from €62,000.00 to €72,300.00. The specific compensation will be based on your professional experience and qualifications.
