VABO wishes to reduce the production cost off 1 of their semi-standard products. The goal is to reduce the cost by 40% or more. This can be done by modifying the production method, choosing different materials and/or reducing

Within the project the student(s) will have to investigate the following:

• Investigate which processes/components are eligible for cost reduction

• Redesign processes/components

• Update CaseMaster (VABO ERP-system) to implement changes to product

• Make detailed cost comparison with traditional methods

VABO states that the outcome of the project has to meet the following requirements:

• Cost reduction of complete door by 40% or more

• No implications on quality/performance

• For new components/processes, complete supply chain mapped out fully integrated in CaseMaster
