Electronic and Optical Devices Service Technician

At Sybilla Technologies, we build optical and electronic systems used in critical space surveillance and traffic management applications. We're looking for a skilled Electronic and Optical Devices Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and optimization of our hardware systems.

The Role

As Electronic and Optical Devices Service Technician, you'll:

  • Diagnose and repair electronic and optical equipment

  • Perform preventive maintenance on complex systems

  • Conduct testing and quality checks on hardware systems

  • Document technical repairs and maintain service records

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues

  • Support installation and commissioning of hardware systems

  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases

  • Provide support to on-site and remote customers

Your Background

You bring 5+ years of experience in electronics and optical systems maintenance, with:

  • Strong background in electronic and optical device troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of circuit design, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools

  • Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of complex systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and documentation

  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and ability to document work clearly

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Nice to have:

  • Experience with space, satellite, or aerospace equipment

  • Knowledge of optical systems (telescopes, imaging systems, etc.)

  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards

  • Experience with specialized testing equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)

  • Background in government contracting or defence-adjacent work

  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge
