Legal Counsel / Attorney

At Sybilla Technologies, we build critical infrastructure for space safety and national security. As we scale our business and navigate complex government contracts, international regulations, and emerging space law, we need an experienced Legal Counsel to guide our strategy and manage our legal affairs.

The Role

As Legal Counsel, you'll:

• Advise leadership on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters

• Review and negotiate government contracts and commercial agreements

• Manage intellectual property strategy and protection

• Ensure compliance with export controls, data protection, and regulatory requirements

• Support fundraising and investor relations activities

• Manage relationships with external legal counsel

• Provide guidance on employment law and HR matters

• Monitor emerging regulations in space law and defence

Your Background

You bring 8+ years of legal experience, with:

• Background in government contracting, defence law, or space law (strongly preferred)

• Experience with international regulations and export controls

• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills

• Understanding of technology law and IP protection

• Proven ability to advise senior management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks

• Strategic thinking and business acumen

Nice to have:

• Experience in venture-backed or high-growth technology companies

• Background in venture financing and M&A

• Experience with European and international law

• Knowledge of space regulations (ESA, national space agencies)

• Understanding of data protection (GDPR) and cybersecurity regulations
