Location: London · Dallas · Paris · Hamburg Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, benchmarked to role and location Equity: Included, benchmarked to role and seniority

This is a hands-on, cross-factory role. You'll spend real time on the production floor — across our own factories and our franchisees' — optimising and iterating live processes, then codifying what works into the Isembard manual so every site in the network benefits. You'll work closely with the software team, surfacing what MasonOS needs to build next from what you see on the floor, and you'll get exposure across the wider production stack as we scale.

Go into factories — ours and our franchisees' — to optimise and iterate live processes, feeding improvements into the Isembard manual

Advise the software team on what to build next, translating shop floor needs into MasonOS requirements

Support wider production tasks: design advice on parts, quoting, order management, supply chain and factory setup

Train new team members and franchisees as the network scales

Be able and willing to focus exclusively on one area of the above (or anything not in the above) as the business scales

Studying (or recently graduated in) engineering, physics, materials science, computer science, or a related field

Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability

High initiative, an ownership mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit

Keen interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering

Basic understanding of coding or data science

Experience in a university engineering team, society, or personal project (e.g. Formula Student, a robotics society, a founder project)

Part-time work experience in a non-engineering role

You want high impact. You aren't looking for a corporate cog-in-the-wheel role. You want to see your work in action, improving our processes and driving efficiency.

You are pragmatic. You care more about the solution working in the real world than theoretical perfection.

You are adaptable. We are a startup. Priorities change, and you'll wear many hats. You view this as an exciting challenge, not a frustration.

Accelerated Learning: You will learn more here in 6 months than in 5 years at a big tech firm. You will touch every part of engineering and manufacturing.

Mentorship: Direct 1:1 guidance navigating the world of manufacturing and startups.

Real-World Impact: Direct impact on throughput, with the opportunity to help scale operations internationally.

Ownership: Equity in the business, so you share in the success you help build.

Autonomy: A high-autonomy role in a fast-paced production environment.

Isembard is on a mission to forge industrial acceleration. We enable faster, cheaper manufacturing for critical industries by combining advanced machine tools, robotics, and our proprietary software, MasonOS. The components we manufacture serve aerospace, defence, energy, and other strategically important sectors.
