Job Description

About Us

Greenjets is developing next-generation aviation platforms to redefine sustainable flight. We operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and high-performance systems engineering—moving fast from concept to flight.

We are looking for an Avionics & Electrical Technician to support the integration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of critical aircraft electrical and electronic systems across build and test environments.

This role is open across experience levels, from junior technicians to more experienced specialists. We're looking to hire multiple people with this skillset.

About the Job

This is a hands-on, practical role focused on the build, installation, and testing of electrical and avionics systems.

You will support work across the full lifecycle—from wiring and installation through to ground and flight test—helping ensure systems are correctly installed and function reliably in real-world conditions.

You'll work closely with engineers, mechanics, and flight test teams in a fast-paced environment to help deliver fully integrated aircraft ready for operation.

What You'll Do

Avionics & Electrical Installation

  • Install avionics, electrical, and electronic components into aircraft platforms

  • Build, route, and secure wiring harnesses, looms, and connectors

  • Carry out crimping, termination, and connector assembly to required standards

  • Support integration of sensors, control systems, power systems, and communication units

  • Follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and build instructions to ensure correct installation

Systems Test & Support

  • Carry out basic functional testing of electrical and electronic systems

  • Perform power-on checks and assist with system validation activities

  • Support execution of test procedures for avionics and electrical systems

  • Record test results and flag issues to engineering teams

  • Assist in identifying and isolating faults during integration and test

Flight Test Support

  • Provide hands-on support during ground and flight test activities

  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical and avionics issues during test campaigns

  • Support rapid turnaround between tests (e.g. inspections, minor fixes, rework)

  • Work closely with engineers and operators to ensure systems are ready for testing

Diagnostics & Fault Finding

  • Assist in diagnosing faults across electrical and avionics systems

  • Use basic test equipment (e.g. multimeters, continuity testers) to investigate issues

  • Support root cause analysis and implementation of fixes

  • Carry out rework, repairs, and modifications as required

Desirable Qualifications, Experience & Attributes

  • Hands-on experience with electrical or electronic systems (automotive, aerospace, robotics, etc.)

  • Experience working with wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical assemblies

  • Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Experience supporting testing, fault finding, or system builds

  • Familiarity with workshop tools and electrical test equipment

  • Experience in aviation, UAVs, automotive, or similar hardware environments

  • Exposure to fast-paced build or prototype environments

Key Traits

  • Practical, detail-oriented, and methodical

  • Comfortable working hands-on with hardware

  • Strong problem-solving mindset

  • Able to follow processes while working at pace

  • Team player with a proactive attitude
