The software spans ground and flight segments. gifted_GENE analyses satellite telemetry on the ground to catch anomalies early and explain their likely cause. orbital_OLIVER runs onboard, interpreting mission objectives so a spacecraft can adapt its actions in real time rather than wait for new instructions from the ground. clear_ processes raw sensor and payload data onboard, prioritising what is useful and compressing or discarding the rest to save bandwidth. DYNAMIC_DANA handles autonomous maneuvering, including collision avoidance, orbit maintenance, inspection, servicing and deorbiting.

AVIO uses gifted_GENE to analyse telemetry from VEGA launch campaigns and renewed the partnership in 2025 after the software reached 80% anomaly detection accuracy in testing. AIKO raised a €1.5 million seed round in 2020 led by Primo Ventures, then a €3.5 million Series A in October 2024 from Deep Blue Ventures and Primo Ventures, followed by a further contribution from Club degli Investitori in February 2025 that brought the round to €4 million and total funding to €7 million. The company opened a second office in Toulouse, France in 2023 and has grown to more than 60 engineers and business staff across both sites.

AIKO leads ASIMOV, a two-year project funded by the Italian Space Agency to build an autonomous system for inspecting and mapping objects and debris in low Earth orbit, and has partnered with CS Group to integrate its telemetry analysis software into CS Group's GOSMIC mission operations suite.
