Products & Solutions

Concepts and Engineering (ENG)
End-to-end mission support for satellite Earth observation programmes, from initial mission concept design through to system-level calibration and commissioning. Aresys has provided this service across major ESA programmes including Sentinel-1, CryoSat-2 and BIOMASS, supporting instrument performance monitoring, data processing and InSAR validation.
Simulation (SIM)
A suite of proprietary SAR simulation tools that model entire radar missions before hardware is built or a satellite is launched. The toolset includes AREMIS (mission and scenario definition), SDT (SAR instrument design), SIMRAD (physical radar signal simulation), SARFOC (signal focusing and processing) and SCAT (scatterer generation and management). Used for system optimisation, algorithm development, AI training data generation and operator training.
Instruments and EGSEs (INS)
Hardware and firmware solutions for radar system testing and microsatellite SAR payloads. The flagship product, RadarBench, is a real-time closed-loop EGSE comprising simRad (end-to-end simulation software), digiRad (radar IF transceiver emulator) and echoRad (real-time pulse generator). Supports spaceborne SAR, airborne multi-function radar and surveillance radar applications including GMTI, ISAR and ECM/ECCM.
Operational EO Data Processors (PRO)
SAR and optical image processing software designed to run inside operational ground segments or cloud-based processing infrastructures. Includes the Biomass Operational Processor and the Level 1 Instrument Processing Facility (L1 IPF) for Sentinel-1. Processors are built for mission-scale throughput and integration into Copernicus and national EO ground systems.
Value Added Services (VAS)
Analytics services that turn satellite imagery into decision-ready insights for commercial and institutional customers. GoTha (Global Oil Trading enHanced Analytics) monitors oil storage volumes at over 100,000 tanks across 400 sites worldwide using SAR and optical data combined with AI algorithms. It is integrated into OTAM, OilX's oil trading analytics platform.

About

ARESYS (Advanced REmote-sensing SYStems) is an Italian SME and former spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, founded in 2003 and headquartered near Milan in Vimodrone. The company specialises in satellite Earth observation, with deep technical expertise in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical imaging systems. Its team of around 60 engineers, physicists and computer scientists — nearly half of them holding PhDs — work across hardware design, software development and data processing.
