Blueye Robotics AS was founded in July 2015 in Trondheim, Norway, by a team that came out of the Centre for Autonomous Marine Operations and Systems (AMOS) at NTNU. The founding team — Erik Dyrkoren, Martin Ludvigsen, Christine Spiten and angel investor Erik Haugane — set out to make underwater access as straightforward as operating a consumer camera. The company employs around 20 people and designs and manufactures all of its ROVs in Norway.
