Blueye X3
Blueye X3
The X3 is Blueye's professional-grade underwater drone, built for demanding inspection and defence work. It features a self-stabilising hydrodynamic frame with four thrusters, a forward-facing camera, and three Smart Connector ports for plug-and-play peripheral integration — including sonars, grabbers and environmental sensors. It is the vehicle deployed by the Norwegian Coast Guard and used in defence applications such as EOD support, hull inspection and harbour surveillance.
Blueye X1
Blueye X1
The X1 is Blueye's compact inspection ROV, designed for quick deployment in confined or shallow-water environments. It supports grabber arm attachments for sampling and light intervention tasks. Like the X3, it shares the self-stabilising design and user-friendly app-based control system common across the Blueye range.

About

Blueye Robotics AS was founded in July 2015 in Trondheim, Norway, by a team that came out of the Centre for Autonomous Marine Operations and Systems (AMOS) at NTNU. The founding team — Erik Dyrkoren, Martin Ludvigsen, Christine Spiten and angel investor Erik Haugane — set out to make underwater access as straightforward as operating a consumer camera. The company employs around 20 people and designs and manufactures all of its ROVs in Norway.
