European Naval & Maritime Companies

European naval and maritime defence has broadened well beyond surface shipbuilding, with autonomous surface vessels, underwater drones and smart mine-countermeasure systems now attracting dedicated startups. Norway's Kongsberg remains a reference point for naval strike and underwater systems, but newer entrants are building uncrewed underwater vehicles, anti-submarine sensor networks and port security platforms across the UK, Sweden and the Netherlands. Ukraine's use of maritime drones to contest a larger navy has sharpened European interest in low-cost, attritable naval platforms and the software to operate them.
