VUHLCAN
A driver vision system that lets crews of armoured vehicles operate with hatches closed, using day and night cameras mounted around the vehicle to feed an immersive head-tracking display. Development ran from 2018 to 2020 under a contract with the Italian Army, which took delivery of five systems by 2022 for its Centauro 2 eight-wheeled mobile gun system, with a further 150 systems anticipated for 2024. The system underwent more than 2,000 kilometres of testing in day, night, on-road and off-road conditions.
NEPTUS
A navigation and communication system for military divers, letting operators share Blue Force Tracking data and send coded text messages to other divers through a handheld interface. It integrates GPS, DVL, TMC, INS and acoustic modems for underwater positioning and messaging.
MAHRS
An optronic aiming system for machine guns and cannons up to 25mm, giving gunners fast and precise target alignment in day and night conditions through a monocular, binocular or remote display. It can be fitted to vehicles, ships or helicopters and is powered from the platform's onboard network or an external battery, with controls run through a pad mounted on the weapon.
GAPPI
A semi-autonomous driving platform and independent payload system aimed at keeping personnel out of high-risk situations when operating vehicles or payloads in the land and naval sectors. The programme is developing the architecture, algorithms and prototype devices for a proof of concept of remote-driven platforms and payload control.
SHIVA
An anti-sniper protection system for tactical, logistic and combat vehicles, known by the acronym Shielding Highly Integrated Vehicular Assembly. It combines laser detection, acoustic detection and counter-sniper designation, with a soft or hard response that scales to the threat detected.
