Originally focused on hoistable masts for German Cold War-era submarines, the company has expanded into a broader portfolio of submarine components and torpedo-tube-launched unmanned platforms. In 2013 it was acquired by the Possehl Group, and in March 2026 it listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as Gabler Group AG.
