Job Description

Do you want to lead complex customer projects in a high-tech and globally operating environment?

At Weibel, we deliver advanced radar systems to defence and civil customers worldwide. Our projects are contract-driven and technically demanding, requiring structured execution, clear governance, and close collaboration across the organisation.

As Customer Project Manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of customer projects from contract signature through final acceptance. Acting as Weibel's primary customer interface, you ensure alignment on scope, milestones, and contractual commitments, while driving predictable and high-quality delivery.

In this role, you operate at the intersection of technology, customers, and commercial execution. You take ownership of complex international projects and work closely with key stakeholders, playing a central role in ensuring successful outcomes and long-term customer confidence.

Your Responsibility

As Customer Project Manager, you are accountable for the end-to-end execution of complex, contract-driven customer projects, covering the full lifecycle from contract signature through final acceptance. You ensure structured delivery, controlled risk, and high customer satisfaction.

Acting as the primary customer interface, you align scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria, while leading cross-functional execution across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test, and quality. You ensure contractual compliance and enable timely decision-making throughout the project.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of international customer projects from contract award to final acceptance and warranty close-out, ensuring that scope, commercial terms, quality, and delivery commitments are met

  • Act as the single point of accountability toward the customer, leading technical and contractual alignment and formal milestones (e.g. PDR, CDR, FAT, SAT), while securing timely decisions

  • Drive technical contract execution, including requirements clarification, change control, and handling of deviations or non-conformities

  • Establish and control integrated plans, budgets, and schedules, managing interfaces, dependencies, and long-lead items to ensure predictable delivery

  • Lead cross-functional execution and navigate technical and commercial trade-offs to ensure projects are ready for verification, acceptance, and commissioning

  • Ensure that projects are fully prepared for delivery and acceptance by securing specifications, configuration baselines, documentation, and customer reporting

  • Drive performance through others by setting clear expectations, holding stakeholders accountable, and maintaining focus on execution and results

Your Profile

You are an experienced customer-oriented project leader, who thrives in complex, contract-driven environments, ideally with a background in offshore delivery, defence production, or similarly regulated industries.

You bring a solid technical foundation and the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward predictable execution and high customer satisfaction.

You bring:

  • Solid project management experience from complex industrial, offshore, defence, or similarly regulated environments

  • Proven experience delivering customer projects end-to-end, including planning, risk management, governance, and stakeholder alignment

  • Hands-on experience working with contractual frameworks, including requirements clarification, change control, and deviations/non-conformities

  • Experience leading technical reviews and acceptance activities (e.g. design reviews, FAT/SAT, verification and validation)

  • A customer-focused and commercially aware mindset, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and confidently

Your New Team

You will join a Project Management team of more than 15 dedicated colleagues working across both standard deliveries and large-scale development projects, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key to success. You will report directly to the Director of Project Management.

You will operate in a newly established matrix organization in a Program structure with several projects in each, ensuring flexibility, knowledge sharing, and strong project outcomes. As Customer Project Manager, you will be part of the program's core team with clear decision-making authority, enabling fast decisions, strong alignment, and effective execution across projects and functions.
