Back-end Engineer

At DigitalPlatforms, we design and implement end-to-end IoT, Cyber ​​Security, and ICT solutions for public administrations and leading companies managing critical infrastructure, in Italy and abroad.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people specialized in back-end development, with excellent skills in designing and developing Java 17 back-end applications.

Along with essential technical skills, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, which are essential to creating the pleasant and stimulating work environment that characterizes our company.

The person will be placed at our Naples office.

Main responsibilities :

• Design and develop back-end applications using Java (version 17 or higher)

• Implement and maintain RESTful services with Spring and Spring Boot

• collaborate in defining the software architecture and development best practices

• manage and optimize data access through relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)

• integrate and use non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB, ELK stack, Redis) when needed

• write clean, testable code that complies with quality standards

• collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, …).

Requirements :

• Proven experience in backend development with Java 17+

• excellent knowledge of the Spring and Spring Boot frameworks

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate and relational data layers

• familiarity with non-relational databases

• good knowledge of REST principles and APIs

• experience with version control tools (Git)

• problem-solving skills and teamwork aptitude.

Preferred requirements (plus) :

• cloud certifications (AWS and/or Azure)

• experience with microservices architectures

• basic knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)

• experience as a functional analyst or software architect

• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Salary ranges from €30,000 to €40,000, customizable based on your profile and professional experience.
