Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Launch Equipment department. In this role, you will support the design, development, verification, and improvement of satellite launch hardware, including deployers and related mechanical systems. You will work closely with project managers, systems engineers, production, and AIT teams to turn mission requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and flight-ready hardware. A strong background in mechanical design and hands-on experience with FEM analysis is essential, as you will be responsible for assessing structural performance, supporting design decisions, and contributing to qualification and test campaigns. The ideal candidate is practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment where reliability, precision, and clear communication are key.
Requirements

Extended FEM experience (nastran).

Education in Mechanical engineering (e.g BEng, BSc, or MSc); or equivalent educational background.

+5 years of demonstrable experience of designing complex mechanical systems to a high standard.

Thorough understanding of mechanical design techniques.

Competency with CAD tools (e.g. Creo).

Familiarity with Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) considerations.

Excellent and straightforward communication skills, in English (verbal and in writing).

An open and creative mindset.
