About Thorium Space Technology
Thorium Space develops next-generation satellite communications systems, including Small LEO/MEO/GEO HTS satellite platforms and multi-beam RF payloads. The company focuses on intelligent matrix antennas and space vehicles for defence applications.
The Role
Lead and deliver advanced satellite communication projects across both commercial and defense markets, managing complex technical initiatives with multiple stakeholders including the European Space Agency.
What You'll Do

Lead and deliver advanced satellite communication projects across commercial and defense markets

Manage 1-3 simultaneous projects with budgets ranging from €1M to €10M+
-
Oversee interdisciplinary teams (RF, hardware, software, mechanical engineering, QA/PA)
-
Prepare project documentation and status reports
-
Identify and mitigate project risks
-
Serve as primary stakeholder contact, including European Space Agency
-
Monitor progress against agreements, schedules, budgets, and scope changes
-
Ensure compliance with international standards (including ECSS)
-
Manage both commercial and defense/security sector projects
Requirements
-
Required: Minimum 2 years project management experience in technical or space sectors

Technical higher education (engineering, computer science, or related fields) preferred
-
Compliance project experience with international standards (including ECSS)
-
Proven track record managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with corporate and government clients
-
Experience in both commercial and defense/security sectors preferred
-
Dynamic work environment adaptability

Fluent proficiency in English (verbal and written communication, documentation, presentations)
Nice to Have

Space industry background
-
PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications

Experience with task management software (Redmine, JIRA, Confluence)
