At MyDefence , we create technology the world has never seen before. We defined the man-portable drone detector and pioneered the first hands-free drone jammer. Now, we are expanding our horizons and launching our engineering presence in Ukraine. We are looking for a Hardware Systems Engineer to be among the first to help establish our technical footprint in Kyiv. You will play a hands-on role in developing, building, and testing prototype hardware for cutting-edge Counter-UAS (CUAS) systems turning bold concepts into field-tested solutions. This is more than a job. It is a chance to build something new both in hardware and in team spirit.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will transform concepts into working hardware — designing, building, and testing advanced Counter-UAS systems that perform where it matters most.

• Design and assemble electronic systems with integrated mechanical components for field testing.

• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring harnesses for functional prototypes.

• Conduct lab and field tests, analyze results, and iterate on designs for performance and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with our Danish R&D team to bring prototypes to life and collect real-world data from tests.

• Work across disciplines — radio, electronics, firmware, and mechanical — to develop cohesive system-level solutions.

• Document builds, testing data, and provide input that drives product development and refinement.

You are an engineer who thrives where innovation meets execution — curious, practical, and driven to turn complex challenges into working solutions.

Your Professional Background

We imagine you have:

• A BSc/MSc in Electronics or equivalent experience (Mechatronics knowledge is a plus).

• 3+ years of experience in hardware prototyping or electronics design.

• Solid skills in RF and baseband systems including use of spectrum and network analyzers.

• Experience with PCB design tools (we use OrCAD) and lab testing of RF, analog, and digital circuits.

• Familiarity with embedded systems and sensors.

• Experience with CUAS, UAV, or defense hardware (preferred).

• Knowledge of MIL-STD or rugged electronics standards (an advantage).

• English Intermediate level or above is required.

• Willingness to work in hybrid mode, Remote first. Visit our Kyiv office for the team sych-ups few days per week (required).

• Willingness to undergo a background check (OSINT, not polygraph) as part of our commitment to security and responsible innovation (required).
