Security Architect for Cybersecurity R&D Projects

📍 Tallinn / Tartu, Estonia

Cybernetica is looking for a Security Architect for different cybersecurity R&D projects. Our cybersecurity R&D team aims to improve security of innovative R&D results in various projects with international consortia.

This position gives you an opportunity to work with large European defence companies while dealing with cybersecurity of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles.

Your main responsibilities will be to

• Plan and design the security architecture of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles

• Provide risk and security analysis of unmanned platforms and swarms

• Evaluate compliance with standards and security requirements

• Research various cybersecurity related topics based on project deliverables/tasks

• Collaborate with internal and external partners on research deliverables/tasks (occasionally includes traveling)

• Work close together with our internal analysts and development team

As a successful candidate, you must have

• At least 3 years of previous experience in cyber security field (e.g. as a security engineer, security analyst, security architect or similar)

• Knowledge about network, communication and platform security

• Ability to learn fast and adapt well to new technical challenges in R&D projects

• High level of responsibility and systematic approach to your work

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Very good written and spoken English; Estonian is a plus

• EU citizenship

You will stand out by having any of the following:

• Interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

• Experience or knowledge in defense, national security domain, or UxV platforms

• Experience working on R&D projects and defense innovation initiatives

• Relevant higher education or information security certifications
