System Designer (m/f/d)

Department: Engineering / System Design Location: Neufahrn near Freising, Germany Start Date: As soon as possible

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop system concepts (system architecture, functional and technical specifications) for complex communication systems

  • Select suitable components, including third-party components

  • Analyze requirements and translate them into system designs

  • Identify conflicting requirements and document them in equipment lists, block diagrams, and compliance matrices

  • Clarify technical details and coordinate with clients

  • Create functional and non-functional specifications for systems, subsystems, and components, including detailed specifications

  • Contribute to acquisition activities, including requirement evaluation, preliminary system design, effort estimation, and technical proposal preparation

  • Define and plan new products in line with company strategy and market requirements

  • Support the definition and provision of suitable infrastructure for system development and optimization of system engineering processes

Your Profile

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in communications engineering

  • Ability to design innovative and future-oriented communication and IT architectures

  • Knowledge of military radio transmission methods and experience in electrical and electronic system design

  • Familiarity with communication and network technologies, including radio equipment, SatCom, modems, and cryptographic devices

  • Knowledge of ATM and Ethernet/IP networks and serial interfaces

  • Familiarity with naval procedures, standards, and command and control systems

  • Initiative, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

  • Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
