System Designer (m/f/d)

Department: Engineering / System Design Location: Neufahrn near Freising, Germany Start Date: As soon as possible

Your Responsibilities

Develop system concepts (system architecture, functional and technical specifications) for complex communication systems
Select suitable components, including third-party components
Analyze requirements and translate them into system designs
Identify conflicting requirements and document them in equipment lists, block diagrams, and compliance matrices
Clarify technical details and coordinate with clients
Create functional and non-functional specifications for systems, subsystems, and components, including detailed specifications
Contribute to acquisition activities, including requirement evaluation, preliminary system design, effort estimation, and technical proposal preparation
Define and plan new products in line with company strategy and market requirements
Support the definition and provision of suitable infrastructure for system development and optimization of system engineering processes

Your Profile

Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification
At least 3 years of professional experience in communications engineering
Ability to design innovative and future-oriented communication and IT architectures
Knowledge of military radio transmission methods and experience in electrical and electronic system design
Familiarity with communication and network technologies, including radio equipment, SatCom, modems, and cryptographic devices
Knowledge of ATM and Ethernet/IP networks and serial interfaces
Familiarity with naval procedures, standards, and command and control systems
Initiative, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
