About the Role

We are seeking a Site Operations Manager to own end-to-end operational performance across our production sites in Riga and Ādaži. In this role, you will build and lead site teams while ensuring strong cross-functional coordination to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in building production capabilities that can operate at significantly higher speed, volume, and cost efficiency than traditional industry standards.

At Frankenburg, you will join an exceptional team of leading experts in technology and national defence, building next-generation defence missile systems for the free world. Operating at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and compliance, you will translate strategy and operational priorities into reliable mass-manufacturing. If you thrive on ownership and hands-on execution — we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • SQDCC Performance Management Own end-to-end Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Compliance (SQDCC) performance across Riga and Ādaži sites, with clear targets, governance cadence, and cross-site standardization to ensure seamless operations.

  • Safety, Security & Compliance Establish and enforce non-negotiable standards, including controlled areas, ESD control, export/controlled goods requirements, and safe handling/storage of energetic materials.

  • Leadership Framework & Governance Implement and sustain a structured operating rhythm (tier meetings, SQDCC KPI reviews, cross-functional escalation, cross-site coordination) to drive accountability and rapid issue resolution.

  • Audit Readiness & Improvement Management Maintain continuous audit readiness (customer, regulatory, internal), lead incident investigations, and ensure timely, effective closure of improvements with verified outcomes.

  • Production Planning & Delivery Translate program demand into executable master production plans (capacity, labor, shifts, equipment, WIP strategy) and ensure on-time delivery through disciplined constraint escalation.

  • Production Quality Management Own and continuously improve the production quality system, ensuring adherence to SOPs, inspection/test gates, and acceptance criteria while reducing defects, rework, and escapes through structured problem-solving.

  • Traceability & Configuration Control Ensure end-to-end traceability and configuration control across both sites, including as-built records, serialization, documentation control, and governed rework/repair processes.

  • Cost & Operational Efficiency Own cost and efficiency performance (productivity, scrap/rework, overtime, consumables), while improving throughput, stability, layout/flow, and planning for scalable capacity growth.

We Would Love You to Have
  • Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations, including leadership of multi-shift teams, preferably within the electronics sector.

  • Technical Skills Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, KPI management (OEE, scrap, yield), and structured root-cause problem solving.

  • Leadership Skills Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to drive accountability, foster a positive organizational culture, and deliver results under strict deadlines.

  • Mission Alignment Strong alignment with our mission to build affordable and mass-manufacturable defence technologies — ensuring every euro spent moves us closer to our goal.

  • Security Clearance Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.

Our Values

Our mission is ambitious, and it takes a team that works with the same intensity.

  • Own the Mission: Mission first. Always. We choose impact — we focus on what moves the mission forward fastest instead of "nice-to-haves". We fix it now — when delays or problems appear, we step up, rally the right people, and solve them immediately. We keep momentum — when time matters, we stay focused and move forward without waiting for perfect conditions.

  • Strive for More: Dare more. Do more. Achieve the impossible. We challenge the status quo — we question, test, and improve instead of accepting "the usual way." We embrace discomfort — we step outside comfort zones and turn challenges into growth. We anticipate the future — we build solutions that scale and set higher standards each time.

  • Build with Trust: Be open. Keep promises. We walk the talk — what we say, we do. No excuses, no exceptions. We share openly — we communicate clearly and early, even when the news is hard. We own outcomes — we admit errors quickly, fix them, and prevent them from repeating.
