Mid–Senior AI/Machine Learning Software Engineer

On-site 5/5 – Bucharest, AFI Park 4 & 5, Building 5 Full-time | Level: Mid–Senior (3+ years of experience)

ISW – with extensive experience in Command & Control solutions for the Defense and National Security sector. We are expanding our team for R&D projects in applied AI within real-world software systems, focusing on NLP, Computer Vision, and LLM integration in on-prem applications.

We are looking for an AI / ML Software Engineer who wants to build and integrate robust AI solutions into production software systems with real stability and performance requirements.

What You Will Do

Develop and integrate AI/ML components into existing software systems; Work with NLP and/or Computer Vision models in real production environments; Contribute to technical and architectural decisions; Implement, test, and validate AI solutions on Linux; Collaborate directly with the development and architecture teams.

Technologies

Python (primary language); PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace Transformers; NLP (classification, embeddings, text processing) and/or Computer Vision; LLMs – integration and usage via APIs, on-prem deployment; Linux & Docker (mandatory); C# – used for integrating AI components into existing backend systems (nice to have).

What We Are Looking For

Minimum 3 years of experience in software development / AI / ML; Strong Python foundation and solid ML concepts; Hands-on experience supported by completed projects; Good understanding of software architectures; Rigor, reliability, and a desire to build durable solutions.
