Overview

Marduk Technologies focuses on the development of electro-optical systems for drone detection, classification, and targeting. Our products combine precision mechanics, electronics, and sensing to counteract UAV's.

We are looking for an experienced Camera Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive to contribute to national safety. You would help to build real-time optical drone-detection and tracking systems on physical edge computing hardware: Python, multi-camera tracking and fusion, async messaging, the processing hub, and the operator UI. You would own features end to end in this pipeline and work with the physical product, not just code.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

• Hands-on camera integration: visible and thermal IR, V4L2, USB3/GMSL/GV, vendor SDKs and drivers.

• Sensor configuration and tuning: exposure, gain, frame rate, black level, autofocus systems.

• Image quality analysis in Python/OpenCV: noise, distortion, MTF (image sharpness), SNR, cross-sensor alignment, comparison between camera models and settings.

• Building test harnesses and measurement tooling; ability to quantify quality and catch regressions before the field.

• Debugging flaky hardware-software interaction: frame drops, bandwidth, thermal throttling.

• Performance ownership: frame rates, end-to-end latency, bandwidth budgets on edge devices.

• Fluency in English and Estonian.

Bonus

• Experience defining image quality acceptance criteria for a vision product.

• Machine vision test rigs, optical calibration, or lens/autofocus experience.

• GStreamer or similar pipelines on physical hardware.
