Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Materials Engineer to join our R&D team and drive the development of next-generation micro-tubular solid oxide fuel cells. You will play a central role in shaping our material platforms: from electrolyte tubes to electrode coatings, ensuring durability, performance, and manufacturability as we scale from prototypes to pilot production.
You will be part of a fast-moving startup team where your contributions directly impact our technology roadmap, and where collaboration across chemistry, mechanical, and electronics disciplines is essential.
Your tasks: Develop and optimize materials and processes for fuel cell components. Plan and execute experimental campaigns. Characterize materials and interpret results. Document methods and best practices in technical reports and SOPs. Establish and improve manufacturing protocols. Work closely with testing and design teams to link materials properties to real-world performance.
Your qualifications: BSc or MSc in Materials Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related field. Hands-on experience in ceramic processing. Practical experience with materials characterization and ability to interpret results. Familiarity with structure-property relationships in ceramic or electrochemical materials. Experience in fuel cells, batteries, or electrochemical devices a strong advantage.
