VABO produces its doors (and hatches) using a vacuum infusion (RTM) process. VABO wishes to investigate what the benefits and disadvantages are of using a prepreg process instead.

Within the project the student(s) will have to investigate the following:

Investigate current process and make a detailed report on the production cycle of a door leaf

Investigate what needs to be changed to switch from a vacuum infusion process to a prepreg process

Make a detailed report in which an alternative process is described. This report includes all benefits/disadvantages (on performance, specification, lead time, cost, etc.) of the alternative process

Produce a door using a prepreg proces
VABO states that the outcome of the project has to meet the following requirements:

Full report on alternative process(es) for door production

No implications on quality/performance
-
Demo door produced with the alternative process
