Laser Mirrors
Reflective optics for continuous-wave and pulsed laser systems spanning wavelengths from 257 nm to 5000 nm. IBS coatings deliver reflectivity above 99.9% in the near-infrared range with low absorption, making them suitable for high-average-power industrial lasers and defence laser systems where durability and repeatability across production batches matter.
Ultrafast Laser Mirrors
Mirrors optimised for femtosecond and picosecond pulse lasers, including low group delay dispersion (GDD) and pulse compression variants. These optics maintain dispersion control across a defined bandwidth to preserve pulse duration and beam quality in ultrafast laser applications such as scientific research, materials processing and defence rangefinders.
Thin Film Polarizers
Dielectric polarizing optics that transmit or reflect light according to polarisation state. Used in laser cavities, Q-switches and beam-shaping setups where clean polarisation discrimination is needed, including defence LiDAR systems and directed energy weapon beam trains.
Laser Filters
Includes dichroic mirrors, non-polarising beam splitters and output couplers for wavelength separation and beam management. Defence applications include multispectral sensor systems and guidance optics that need to isolate or combine specific wavelengths with minimal loss.
Special Coatings and Assemblies
Custom coating solutions for demanding applications including silicon carbide (SiC) mirror substrates, membrane mirrors, segmented coatings and complete integrated optical assemblies. SiC mirrors are particularly relevant for space and directed energy defence applications where low weight, high stiffness and extreme thermal stability are required.

OPTOMAN was founded in 2017 in Vilnius, Lithuania by Remigijus Šliupas and Dr. Simonas Kičas. The company specialises in thin film dielectric coatings and high-power laser optics produced exclusively with ion beam sputtering (IBS) technology, one of the most precise coating deposition methods available. It employs around 60 people and operates five IBS coating machines at its Vilnius facility.
