Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned development projects as the responsible engineer, from approved idea to validated development result.

  • Create and maintain technical development plans for assigned development projects, including scope, milestones, risks, and budget.

  • Execute and coordinate development activities required to achieve project objectives.

  • Provide technical consulting to internal departments and customers on topics related to assigned development projects.

  • Support the implementation of production processes and provide technical input related to assigned development projects.

  • Maintain complete and accurate technical documentation and ensure structured transfer of product knowledge to relevant departments.

  • Perform literature, patent, and technology reviews to maintain awareness of new developments.

  • Support, consult, and train Junior Research Engineers.

Core mission Lead assigned development projects from approved idea to validated result, ensuring technical quality, effective execution, and structured transfer of product knowledge to the relevant teams.

Required superpowers

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics or a related discipline such as Materials Science or Photonics.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Solid technical understanding of optical components, photonics, and laser-related technologies.

  • Experience with OptiLayer and/or OTF Studio.

  • Structured and analytical approach to problem solving and technical decision-making.

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for technical results.

  • Ability to assess technical risks and uncertainties and act accordingly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Lithuanian and English at C1 level.
