Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the Optician team, drive daily performance management (KPIs tracking, problem escalation, and follow-up actions).

Own optical quality performance and contribute to achieving key manufacturing KPIs such as Just in Time, Just in Full, Yield, and Rework.

Develop team capabilities through onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and continuous skills development.

Ensure cleanroom discipline, contamination control, and handling standards are consistently followed to protect optical surface quality.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality risks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve repeatability, quality, and productivity.

Lead investigations of optical quality issues and nonconformities, ensuring root cause identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate cross-functional problem-solving activities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Technical Sales teams.

Ensure reliability and capability of optical measurement systems, work instructions, documentation, and traceability requirements remain accurate, up to date, and audit-ready.

Support qualification of new products, suppliers, materials, and manufacturing processes from an optical quality perspective.

Apply Lean manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, waste reduction) to improve process stability and efficiency.
Core mission Build and lead a high-performing optics team that consistently delivers reliable optical quality, develops internal expertise, and continuously improves processes, ensuring stable manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction.
Required superpowers

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, Photonics, Engineering, or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, optical, coatings, or quality-focused environment.

Previous experience coordinating, mentoring, training, or leading technical specialists.

Strong understanding of quality control principles, process discipline, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience working with technical measurements, quality data analysis, and process performance indicators.
-
Ability to identify risks, prioritize activities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills.
-
Experience driving process improvements and implementing standardized ways of working.
-
Lithuanian C1-C2 and English B2-C1.
